Wheelchair accessible reviews and information for Brisbane, including wheelchair accessible transport, accommodation and activities.
Brisbane wheelchair accessibility has come along way in the last decade. Having lived in Brisbane my whole life I have experienced the good and bad when it comes to Brisbane’s wheelchair access. Some areas are still in need of improvement, such as footpaths and public transport. Most tourist areas, attractions and destinations within Brisbane are accessible, including most shopping centers. There are older buildings in Brisbane that are inaccessible such as the Twentieth Night Theater and underground stores in Brisbane City which don’t have lift access. Overall Brisbane is very accessible but of cause it isn’t perfect. Brisbane is on the right path to be a fully accessible city but we still have a long way to go.
