During our 3 night stay in Albany, we stayed at the Albany Central Apartments located on Collie Street in the heart of Albany CBD. The apartments house four self catering apartments with one downstairs apartment being fully wheelchair accessible. The four apartments combine Albany’s history with modern living and are just a short walk to Albany’s popular restaurants, cafes and historic bars.
We stayed in Apartment Three, which is the Wheelchair Accessible Apartment priced at $200 per night. The apartment is step free with open plan living and an accessible bathroom that includes a handheld shower hose and fold down shower stool.
Apartment Three can accommodate 5 people and features one bedroom with a queen bed, a black leather double sofa bed in the living area and a single bed in the alcove. The bedroom had side bed access which provided easy access for wheelchair users and wide doorway access throughout the apartment. This apartment also includes a private courtyard and BBQ.
The spacious living area is equipped with a fully functioning kitchen that includes an electric oven and cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer.
The Albany Central Apartments really did feel like a home away from home with all essentials included, even a DVD collection!
