Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra James Court
Non Accessible Apartment - Limited Access
While in Canberra we stayed at the Adina Serviced Apartments James Court. Unfortunately the Hotel doesn’t offer any official accessible apartments, however the apartment we stayed in was large enough to accommodate my wheelchair, but some areas were restricted.
The Hotel is step free with lift access up into the apartments. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment during our 1 night stay. The main bathroom had enough room for me to move around in it without to much difficulty. The shower however did have a small step and no shower hose which would make it difficult for most wheelchair users. The second bathroom was not accessible due to having a spa bath in it.
The main bedroom was a little larger then the bedroom #2. There was no side access to the bed for a wheelchair, but there was room at the bottom of the bed. Bedroom #2 had limited space for a wheelchair.
The living room and kitchen was large enough for me to move around freely, and all doorways were standard size but wide enough for me to fit through. Each apartment offers a full kitchen, washer, dryer and free wifi. The apartments were clean and the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Even though the apartment was not fully wheelchair accessible, it was manageable for our 1 night stay. If we had a longer stay, this apartment would not be suitable for us. For those who need a full wheelchair accessible apartment the Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra James Court might not be the best option.
In my opinion I give Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra James Court a rating of 2 for wheelchair accessibility, and a rating of 4 stars for the overall service.
